Jane Black Massage Therapist
For many the first step into the journey of massage begins with a Swedish massage. A good all-rounder if you will. And a good choice too! Are you googling for ‘deep tissue massage’ and not sure what to book for? This is the one for you.
Swedish massage is the ultimate relaxation tool, but here at the Glasgow Treatment Rooms we do things a little differently. Often regarded as a routine massage, our style of Swedish massage is entirely tailored to the needs of your body on the day of the session. Can’t sleep? Had a busy day at the office? Or maybe there’s no reason. Perhaps you just want an hour to zone out and forget about the outside world and allow your body the experience of an incredible massage.
Your session combines slow, firm pressure and gentle stretches, working on targeted areas of the body or on the full body. Remember, it’s your choice on the day. Reclaim your body and breathe new life into your tired and aching muscles. Falling asleep isn’t mandatory, but may be unavoidable. And our taste in music isn’t too shabby either.
As you go home and ease back into the real world, expect to feel good. Really good!
Classic Swedish massage uses lovely fluid movements keeping the pressure quite broad as opposed to being ‘diggy’. This is ideal for people who feel frazzled, and just want to switch off. If I feel something a bit sticky though I will ask my client if I can take it up a notch. My focus is always that everyone who leaves the room feels taller, lighter, and happier.
